Dr. Larry Franklin Bosma was more than a veterinarian—he was a pillar of the Lancaster community and a compassionate advocate for animals and their families. Since founding North Valley Veterinary Clinic in 1985, Dr. Bosma dedicated his life to delivering exceptional, heartfelt care to every pet that walked through his doors. His mission was simple yet profound: to make every client feel like they belonged, ensuring their pets were treated not just as animals, but as cherished family members.
Dr. Bosma's legacy is one of unwavering dedication, kindness, and a deep-seated commitment to both animals and their human companions. His approach to veterinary care was holistic, emphasizing preventive health care and client education. He believed in building lasting relationships with clients, ensuring they felt comfortable and confident in the care their pets received.
In honor of Dr. Bosma's remarkable legacy, we are proud to announce the opening of Legacy Vet Center. Our mission is to carry forward the values and principles that Dr. Bosma instilled in his practice. At Legacy Vet Center, we aim to provide comprehensive, compassionate veterinary care that reflects the high standards Dr. Bosma set. Our team is committed to treating every pet with the same love and respect that Dr. Bosma exemplified, ensuring that his spirit continues to guide our work.

If you have young kids, Jasmine’s the perfect dog. Part playmate, part nanny, she’ll tire them out while keeping a watchful eye on everything. She also loves to cuddle at night!

Intelligent, alert and a bit mischievous, Michael is always up for an adventure. Whether you’re jumping in the car for a weekend road trip or going for a run, he’ll be by your side.

Philippe is one of the most soulful dogs we’ve ever had in our care. Though shy, he’s capable of deep connection and is in search of a family who will love and appreciate him.

If it’s tricks you’re after, Dominic is your dog. He’s a pro at running, fetching and catching a frisbee mid-flight. We can’t imagine a better companion for an active couple.

Tia is all about relaxation and is looking for someone who enjoys naps, lounging on the couch and gentle evening walks. She’s diabetic, but we’ll walk you through her care routine.
